Football season is finally here, and we're not talking about some fantasy game you play on the computer! This is a social pastime that causes us to cheer, groan, and generally have a great time. So forget about memorizing teams and stats until you've studied our game plan for a winning tailgate party.
Menu: The Quarterback Sneak
Tailgating requires a menu that is easy to prepare in a parking light. This implies portability, simplicity, and practicality. Plus, it should taste good. To attempt this play, take an ordinary tailgate staple, like hot dogs, to the next level by serving beer-soaked brats. Spicy shrimp kebabs and gourmet turkey burgers are also good options. All of these items can be prepped the night before and then cooked quickly on a portable grill, and that's why we call it the quarterback sneak of tailgating.
The same rules apply to snacks and side dishes. So consider tossing some raisins into that grocery store coleslaw, or use wasabi mayonnaise in your potato salad. These moves will surprise your fellow tailgaters, but still give you plenty of time to rest up before the big game.
