Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy
True Jedis and gamers, get your Lightsabers and controllers ready for this fall's most anticipated action adventure game.

Legos have a place in the heart of almost any normal, well-raised human being -- they're basic building blocks of growing up, sort of like potty training and puberty. I spent endless endearing hours as a child with my Legos building every war machine, death robot, and ground/air strike vehicle my tender young heart could imagine. It was an innocent time in my life, a time when I was still naive to the true dangers of the world like t-shirts from credit card companies and beer before liquor. (Or is it liquor before beer?)

When the first Lego Star Wars game came out, I thought the idea of combing Legos and George Lucas' double trilogy movie masterpiece was about as sane as having Samuel L. Jackson play the role of a Jedi Knight. Once I actually bought a Lego Star Wars set, I saw the potential. (The force was strong in the Legos, as they say.) The dichotomy between the cuteness and innocence of Legos and the epic battle of the Dark and Light side of the Force is hysterical -- why not make a game about it? Lego Star Wars was an intergalactic success, (even with the likes of Jar Jar Binks in the game) so it's no surprise that LucasArts has surpassed expectations and given gamers a game we can raise our Lightsabers (or controllers) to, with Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy.
