Tired of the same old boring keg parties? The Recovering Sorority Girls are here to help you plan a fresh fête. Check their Poker Party!

The semester is winding down, football season is nearly over, and you're looking for something different to do. But just because you want something different, doesn't mean that you want to divert precious time and money planning an ornate Martha Stewart-style party. Never fear! The Recovering Sorority Girls are here with an approach that's just right.

We learned everything we need to know to throw a great party with little effort and money from our sorority. Basically, sorority recruitment provides the building blocks of good party planning: a theme, an activity for guests to share, and some light refreshments that compliment the theme.

So, for your end-of-semester blow out, the theme is poker. Try an in-home, and purely legal, co-ed poker tournament. Nothing is hotter right now than Texas Hold 'Em. Take a little trip around the web and learn the game's official rules. Next, after you've mastered the art of the deal, set up your own small tournament. Invite an even number of guys and girls for a total of 12 to 20 guests to be divided into tables of four people each.
