No Day But Today
Six states now allow voter registration on Election Day. Should your state?

You have exams, papers, dating, and money on your mind. Is registering to vote in there too?

Exercising your right to choose elected officials is important. Still, for many college students, registering to vote is extremely taxing. Between changing their address every year they move, to living away from home during college, many students aren't registered to vote. But there may be a way to alleviate the problem.

Six states, including New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Maine, Idaho, and Wyoming, have Election Day Registration, or EDR. EDR, also known as same-day registration, allows eligible citizens to register and vote on Election Day. For example, in Virginia, you had to have registered for the General Election by October 1; but you could still register to vote in Vermont's General Election until noon on October 23.
